And he splits his time with his other office in VA. They all seem on pins and needles whenever they have to interact with him. He seems cold and demeaning towards his employees though. The techs and front desk staff are friendly. He does have a convenient location if you work in downtown DC. I think he's competent enough but I don't have anything to compare him to so how do I know. It's been very unpleasant for me having to see him every 6 weeks. Sometimes he'll sit in his office even though all the chairs are occupied by waiting patients.
He treats you like you're in an assembly line. He shows zero interest in building a rapport. He's dismissive of any concerns or questions. Once I signed on, almost immediately, I felt like his whole demeanor changed. Of course during the consultation they're trying to reel you in so they're on their best behavior. (Clearly, those are all paid reviews.) So you're really going in blind. Nearly all the DC orthodontists have glowing Yelp reviews so that's of no help. I researched him and didn't find any lawsuits. He's board certified (although I'm not sure what difference that makes when all is said and done). He came off very personable and easy going at the consultation.
